Summer One
WOW, it's the summer term- doesn't time fly? This half term we will be studying the history of Long Eaton. We will be investigating the origins of the town and what made it change from a small agricultural settlement to a Victorian BOOM town. We will research and use a mix of original and more modern sources of information to help our understanding of Long Eaton's past. In English sessions we will refine and polish our persuasive techniques to write a brochure advertising Long Eaton's attractions. Our maths focus will be geometry and measuring angles.
We are very lucky to be having some professional visitors in school promoting fitness and practising cricket skills. It will be a very busy, but exciting term....
