Summer Term

Friday 15th July

Today, the children enjoyed a successful Sports Day and it was lovely to have a full crowd of parents again. Thank you if you were able to attend. On Monday, we had our REACH assembly where Lorelei was awarded our certificate. A huge well done to you! Next week, we have a party day for the Year 4's on Wednesday. This is to spend the money earnt from our Year 4 concert. The children will be taking part in fun acitvities and eating some picnic food/snacks. They can also wear non-unifiform on this day.

We have not set any homework for the last week apart from asking you to continue reading at home for the children to gain their 3 reads awards. Thank you.

 

Friday 1st July

The children have been enjoying their full summer curriculum again this week inlcuding planning team stop motion animations, building circuits and coding. A huge well done to Leyla, who got this week's REACH certificate as well as Morris for getting the mid-day award.

Friday 24th June

Jeremy Strong Class have worked fantastically this week during celebration week and have enjoyed their celebration day today. It has also been Ukraine awareness day today, which was organised by Lolli, Sophie and Layla with Mrs Houseman. We watched their assembly, made sunflowers and they had an ice pop sale too. A huge well done to Lillymae too, for recieving the REACH certificate today.

Friday 17th June 

A huge well done to all of Year 4 this week for taking part in the Multiplication Check! The children have also persevered with the hot weather trying their best in all their lessons. Next week is a busy week with Celebration Week and National Sports Week. On the Friday, we have our celebration day and a Ukraine awareness day where the children can wear yellow and blue. We will be completing an activity related to this and will have an assembly from Layla, Sophie and Lolli, who have organised the event with Mrs Houseman.

Friday 10th June

It has been a short but productive week back to school. The children are working hard to get ready for the Multiplication Check, which we will offically complete next week in school. They have also been doing some basic skill flashback lesson before celebration week in Week 3. A huge well done to Max for gaining the REACH certificate today in our first whole school assembly!

Thursday 26th May

It has been a short but busy half term! Well done to all of Jeremy Strong Class. Today, the class go to enjoy our Jubilee celebrations with making crowns, flags and bunting. Then took part in the parade and street party. Over the half term holiday, the children have been set times table activities to practise their times tables ready for the multiplication check when we get back to school in June (more details to follow with this in the first week back). Have a lovely half-term everyone.

Friday 20th May

The children have enjoyed bread making this week for DT along with joining in some joint Athletics with Miss Harris' class. A huge well done to Sophie today for getting our REACH certificate! Don't forget next week we are celebrating the Jubilee on Thursday with dressing up and a street party style afternoon.

Friday 13th May

It has been a fantastic week for the Year 4's with either working on a project in school or attending the residential to Mount Cook. The children enjoyed activities including the climbing wall, archery, low ropes and mini zipwire. Today, all the Year 4's alongside Catherine received a REACH certificate, well done!

Friday 6th May

It has been a shorter week after the bank holiday but the children have still done lots of work. They have worked hard to research Alfred the Great this week ready to write a biography. The class also began their DT work with bread tasting! A huge well done to Layla this week who is our REACH certificate winner. Next week is our residential to Mount Cook Adventure Centre. Please see the letters home and Class dojo for final arrangements and details.

Friday 29th April

It has been good to see Jeremy Strong Class back to school this week for the start of Summer term! We have begun our new units including learning about the Anglo-Saxon, coding and biographies. Enjoy the bank holiday weekend and see you all on Tuesday.
