Friday 25th April
Welcome back!
In English, we are starting to write newspaper reports based on the opening of the Parthenon in 432BC. We also investigated the different rocks found in our school environment and in history we are finding out about the brilliant pottery that the Greeks were so reknowned for.
Friday 2nd May
We've been busy practising the lines and song which we will be performing in our class assembly at the end of the term. We have also been writing up newspaper reports on the Parthenon opening.
Friday 9th May
We've been investigating different types of rocks and how they were formed. In art, we've been learning how to make ceramic pots and different techniques of pinching, coiling and slabbing.
Friday 16th May
We've been finding out about Ancient Greek architecture as well as theatres and applied this to writing instructions in English. Did you know they started the idea of entertainment all that time ago?
Friday 23rd May
We have been finishing our Greek inspired pots and they look fantastic!
What a brilliant class assembly performance too. Well done, guys!
