Friday 18th July
Constellation Class have enjoyed completing their DT project this week with adding an electrical component to their boxes to make a lightbox. They are excited to bring their boxes home next week (unfortunately they can't bring the circuits as well)! The class have also worked on coordinates in maths, which has linked with our Geography map skills. Please continue to bring in carrier bags next week so the children can bring home work and books. A huge well done to our final star of the week, REACH certificate winner Ezra!

Friday 11th July
Well done to Constellation Class for again working really well considering the heat! They have enjoyed completing out Geography walk and creating a map of their route, continuing our DT work, taking part in discussions for English and taking part in Sports Day! Next week, we are looking forward to watching the Year 5/6 concert dress rehearsal. Please may the children bring a strong carrier bag each day from Friday 18th July. We will then start bringing home work and books the children have completed over the year.

Thursday 3rd July
A huge well done to Luca this week for achieving this week's REACH certificate. All the class also received their school swimming certificates for their achievements during Year 4, well done! Next week, the class will be going on a Geography walk around the local area on Monday. We have expert group afternoon on Wednesday. On Thursday, the children will be supporting Loughborough University with some Maths research (see class dojo for more information and the parent leaflet). Then we have Sports Day in the afternoon on Friday. What a bust week to come!

Friday 27th June
Constellation Class enjoyed their final swimming lesson today having the chance to play water polo and have a go on different floats. We have also designed and begun to make our light boxes for DT this week. Next week, we have Forest School on Wednesday and our Inset Day on Friday.

Friday 20th June
A huge well done to Constellation Class for working hard during the warm weather to complete celebration week. Also, a huge well done to Joseph and Edie, who are this week's REACH certificate winners. The class also enjoyed Wheelie Wednesday, getting an opportunity to ride their bikes and scooters on the playground. Next week, we have our last swimming lesson. We also do not have Forest School next week, our next session is 2nd July.

Friday 13th June
Constellation Class have enjoyed visiting the Book Bus this week along with continuing Forest School. A huge well done to Finnley and Ben, who achieved a REACH certificate this week! Next week, we have Wheelie Wednesday to raise money for school. Please bring in a bike, scooter or wheels for the playground along with £1. We also have celebration week next week. Please can the children start to bring in a cereal or shoe box for a DT project, if these can be in school by Friday 27th June thank you.

Friday 6th June
It has been excellent to have Constellation Class back at school this week. We have enjoyed beginning some of our units of learning including Scratch coding, Forest School and continuing swimming. Next week, we will be taking part in the Multiplication Check during our Maths lessons and we have the Book Bus in school on Thursday.

Thursday 22nd May
Well done to Constellation class for making their bread roll designs this week and evaluating them afterwards. We have also been finishing off units ready for Summer 2! Take a look at the class page for update on what we are covering during our final half-term of Year 4.

Friday 16th May
The class did brilliantly with our water safety swimming lesson today, going into the pool with clothes or pjs on and learning different self-rescue techniques. They have also been working on ode poems and explored sounds waves and pitch with different science explorations. A huge well done to Arlo, who was our REACH certificate winner. Next week, we have expert groups on Wednesday afternoon therefore the children do not need to come in their PE kits. We also have class photos on Thursday morning, so be dressed in your best!

Friday 2nd May
The children enjoyed our theatre performance on Monday and our Severn Trent workshop talking about water savers and water wasters. A huge well done to Ben, who was this week's REACH certificate winner. Next week, we have our residential on Wednesday to Friday. I will be explaining last instructions to the children on Tuesday and sending out a dojo message.

Friday 25th April
It has been lovely to see the class back to school this week. We have enjoyed bread tasting and a sound walk around school to begin DT and Science. We also has a visit from PC Berry again during Friday afternoon, where she made emotion/regulation wheels with the class. They wrote or drew different ways to calm their emotions when they need it. A huge well done to Olivia for being our REACH certificate winner! Next week, we have a school theatre performance on Monday and a Severn Trent workshop on Tuesday.
