What is 1-Decision?
1decision is a kitemarked, accredited scheme to support the teaching and learning of Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
Their resources have been developed over the past nine years and were created by specialists working together with schools, and most importantly, children. All their materials have received the Quality Mark from the PSHE Association, which means that schools and parents can be assured that they include the very best practice as part of a whole-school approach to keeping children safe, happy, and healthy.
The 1decision platform has been designed to be interactive, fun, and engaging for children. At its core are a series of short film clips with alternative endings, which encourage children to consider the consequences of different decisions. Their scheme also creates a series of resources which allow children to develop essential skills, knowledge, and vocabulary to manage different influences and pressures in their lives and to make safe and informed choices. Teachers and children use these films alongside pupil activities and on-screen stories to explore various topics in a safe and supportive learning environment.
