PE Days

During Autumn 1, our PE days are Monday afternoon (Indoor PE) and Thursday afternoon (Outdoor PE). Therefore, please make sure PE kits are in school for these days.

Autumn 1

In this half-term our curriculum will run slightly differently to normal, as we will be focusing on making sure the children are secure with their Year 3 learning whilst also ensuring they are ready for the Year 4 curriculum. The first week we will be using assessments to get a better understanding of the children's gaps in their learning and will be planning accordingly.

Alongside this, we will continue to be covering other curriciulum areas.

History: The Normans (covering in Autumn 1 and 2)

Science: Living Things and Habitats

RE: What does it mean to be a Christian in Britain today?

PSCHE: Being Me

PE: Gymnastics and Tag Rugby

Each Friday one of the following activities will be set online:

  • My Maths
  • TT Rockstars

Each activity will be set for the children to complete by the following Friday. Alongside, these activities we ask that the children read to an adult 3 times each week and have their planners signed to be awarded a merit.

Spelling lists of 10 spellings, following a set rule, will be given out each week and the children will stick them in their school diaries/planners to learn by the following week. One way of learning their spellings can be using their Spelling Shed account. However, if you ever miss when they are placed in the diaries, please see the attached documents below.

Remember getting 10/10 in your spelling test will earn you 1 merit, plus if you can learn 3 extra spellings that follow the same spelling rule, you can gain an extra merit!

These spelling list will be set on:

11th September - Homophones or near homophones

18th September - Prefix in-

25th September - Y3/4 Statutory word list 1
