Hello to all of you.
Welcome back to a new week- one which may look a little different for a third of children in GB class. We have 14 children returning to school within 'class bubbles' with Miss Robert's and Miss Haywood's in the EYFS environment or myself and Mrs Salt in the Year 1 environment. We also have 5 key worker children who will remain within their 'key worker bubble'. Here is a video that will help your child to understand what 'bubbles' in school are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUXDX0WFyno If you can show this your child before their arrival tomorrow this would be hugely appreciated.
For those children continuing with home learning, your routine will remain the same. I look forward to continuing to engage with you via Dojo.
Our Class Zoom this week is on Friday at 10:15am. I will send over the details on Dojo during the week.
What a super first week of our new topic we had. It was lovely to see the children's 'Dear Zoo' story maps and retelling. I also liked their new pages for the story.
Huge thank you to those parents who administered your child's phonics assessments for me. I respect this was a big thing to ask of you but they have really informed me of gaps in learning and next steps. If you didn't get round to doing this last week or part of your child's assessment is unfinished could you please refer to last week's planning and resources to compete this for me. Thank you in advance.
Finally, well done to Bertie for being my nomination for REACH assembly this week. You are the 'teamwork' champion. You have approached all home learning in a very grown up manner. You are not only achieving your own set tasks but you have also helped your younger siblings to learn too. I am very proud of you and know you will continue to work as a team with your family. Learning together is the best way to learn.
I wish Team GB a fabulous week whether you are in school or at home.
I look forward to seeing my 'class bubble' in the morning and hope I will be able to briefly see Miss Robert's 'bubble' from a distance.
For those children in school, please remember to wear uniform but trainers are expected.
Kindest Regards,
Mrs Robinson
