National Sport’s Week
22nd – 26th June 2020.
The annual National School Sport Week campaign, celebrates the important role of Physical Education and school sport in enhancing young people’s wellbeing.
YST National School Sport Week at Home 2020 will give families, communities, schools and sports clubs the opportunity to engage in a series of virtual sporting challenges which help young people capture the enjoyment, competition and camaraderie they are missing out on.
We have set a daily challenge for the children to get active and to enjoy!
We would love to see videos and photos of the children completing these challenges!
We have also attached a record sheet that can be edited, if the children want to record their score and at the end of the week, see what their personal best was!
Monday – How long can you dance for to your favourite song?
Tuesday – How many times can you go and down the stairs? (with grown-up supervision)
Wednesday – How many laps can you run around the garden in 1 minute?
Thursday – How many times can you throw and catch a ball without dropping it?
Friday – How many star jumps can you do in 1 minute?
Below, there are a range of Sporting activities attached, that the children can choose, challenge themselves and then capture the memory.
