Welcome back to the second half of the Summer term.
I hope you have all had a fantastic half term and managed to spend some time with loved ones beyond your household following government changes. I had my first drive through Costa Coffee this week and it almost felt normal!
We commence our new topic 'Oh the places you'll go!' this week. Our overall idea for this topic is to allow children to reflect on past experiences of places they have been as well as places they may like to go once lockdown is over as well as look ahead to the new school year. Places we may visit may include: the zoo, the farm and my ultimate favourite place, the seaside. Whilst exploring each place we will be focusing heavily on the different animals and creatures that can be found there. The topic will conclude with memories from their reception year and looking ahead to year 1 and what this may entail.
We have our class zoom catch up scheduled for Thursday at 10:15. I will post details over on Dojo so look out for this. It will be lovely to have Team GB together again.
I am hoping Story times will commence this week. I am having technical difficulties compressing the files to be able to upload to the webpage. However, I will not let this defeat me so watch this space!
Well done to Harry for receiving my REACH award in our virtual assembly before half term. Since being back with GB class I have been particularly impressed with the determination and overall effort you have towards your home learning and other family projects. Thank you.
As you already know, school is open this week just for key worker children, and further clarification for the following weeks will be given this week. Please just bear with us on this and we will let you know details as soon as possible.
Have a fantastic week of home learning Team GB and I will see you on our zoom call on Thursday.
