Hello and welcome to another new week
I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend. Especially as the sun finally reappeared.
This week may look a little different for some of the children within our lovely France class. We have 17 children returning to school within two ‘class bubbles’ with myself and Mrs Homer in the EYFS environment and Miss Martin and Mrs Thomas in the Year 1 classrooms. Additionally, we have 4 key worker children which will remain in their ‘keyworker bubble’. Please refer to your letter that I sent out on Dojo with all the information regarding the return to school.
To support the children to understand what ‘bubbles’ in school are and to help them feel more relaxed about their return, please see the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUXDX0WFyno. If you can show this your child before their arrival tomorrow this will be greatly appreciated and then we will discuss this tomorrow in our bubbles.
Last week in school was really successful for all the other classes bubbles and I know both the children and teachers had an enjoyable week. As Mrs Houseman's update on Friday mentioned, we do have spaces in our France class bubbles if you happen to change your mind. Just let me know and we can make arrangements for the week commencing 29/6/20 when our class bubbles are back in school.
For those children continuing with home learning, your routine will remain the same with just some changes to Phonics. Please see the ‘note to parents’ at the beginning of the phonics planning which will explain the changes. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me on Dojo. I look forward to continuing to engage with you via Dojo. Please bear we me replying to messages and viewing your wonderful portfolios due to myself teaching in school.
I hope you have a fantastic week of home learning. To reiterate Mrs Houseman's update, this is a critical time of year, whereby we prepare children for that next stage in their learning journey. Please do continue to engage with our home learning. This will put your child in a better position when they move to year 1. If you would like the learning printing to support your home learning, please send me a message and I will happily get this sorted for you
Our next Zoom is scheduled for Friday at 11.15am and all details will be again on Class Dojo. It is a fantastic chance for all of France class to be together and take part in games and share experiences together which is really important for all of the children.
Also, a BIG congratulations is needed for Mr Michael for being our REACH star in our online school assembly. Michael consistently has a positive manner and smile on his face with all his learning! He embraces all challenges and is a joy to teach Well done Michael for being our REACH superstar! I am again super proud of you and to be part of France class! I wonder who is going to be our next REACH star?
I wish you all a fantastic week whether you are in school or at home. I look forward to seeing my ‘bubble’ in the morning and I hope I can see Miss Martin’s bubble briefly from a distance. I look forward to seeing you all on Zoom on Friday
For those children in school, please remember all children need to wear uniform and to wear trainers.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards, Miss Hutchinson.
