Hello all!
I hope you've been enjoying the sunshine with your children over the weekend.
Thank you to those parent who returned any school reading books last week. If you do still have any outstanding books at home (not your child's current reading book) please can you send them into school as soon as possible?
I can't quite believe this is the final full week of the reception year. What a strange one it has been! You should have received a text last week informing you that GB class's new teacher in year 1 is Miss Hardaker. To reassure you, all class information will be communicated with Miss Hardaker for a smooth transition. Further transition details will be communicated later in the week.
This week we are focusing on the transition to year 1- talking about what it will be like, asking any questions and discussing any worries the children may have. I believe the final part of this academic year in our bubbles has better prepared the children for the next steps in their learning journey, especially as they have spent so much time in the year 1 environments too. The children have shown incredible resilience to change which has been extremely rewarding to see. Well done Team GB!
Congratulations to Colt for winning my REACH award this week, announced by Mrs Houseman on her Friday REACH assembly.
It has been lovely to see Colt's smile at school this week. With a little bit of a wobbly start to his return to school he has just amazed me with how happy he is to be here. He loves to be challenged and takes care to produce beautiful work. This week he has particularly impressed me with his use of rhyme in literacy. What a star you are! Well done, Colt.
Our end of reception celebration zoom will be on Friday at 10:15am this week. Look out for further details on Class Dojo.
Kind Reminder all school learner's are back in the EYFS environment this week. Please drop off at the gate near the bins and collect either from the bike area (Mrs Robinson's bubble) or the side gate near the playground (Miss Robert's bubble).
I look forward to seeing all school learner's at the school gate on Monday.
Kindest Regards,
Mrs Robinson
