Imagine you are a golden ticket winner and you are in The Chocolate Room. You need to think of the best words to describe what it is like so you can tell your friends all about it.
Think about what you can see, hear, smell, taste and touch. Make a word bank of adjectives / noun phrases to describe. Use the planning sheet. Your ideas can be numbered or with bullet points – not full sentences –remember that the point of this lesson is to think of great vocabulary to use for your lesson on Thursday.
Write 3 descriptions for each sense.

Use your plan from Tuesday to write a detailed description of The Chocolate Room. This time the notes and ideas will be put into complete sentences. Remember what a year 2 sentence looks like and use a conjunction but not too many in one sentence.
Write 10 sentences with adjectives and / or noun phrases and conjunctions. Can you add some interesting vocabulary too?
