Friday 9th July:
It has been a lovely day celebrating Sports Day. The children enjoyed taking part in hurdles, egg and spoon and a sprint race. Well done Cheetah Class! Also, another well done to both Erin and Finley who gained a REACH certificate this week.

Friday 2nd July:
It has been an exciting week with Cheetah Class getting to meet their new Y5 teacher on Thursday morning. We have also enjoyed practising some athletic races ready for sports day next Friday. A huge well done to Connor for getting our REACH certificate this week.

Friday 25th June:
A HUGE well done to Cheetah Class this week for completing their final assessments in Year 4. Everyone tried their best and their hard working is paying off! We also kick started the week with seeing Sam Oldham as part of our Athlete event. We took part in the fitness circuit and then had an assembly. It was amazing to see Sam's back flip! Another well done to Cerys this week, who recieved the REACH certificate.
Homework this week is a TT Rockstar battle of boys v girls. Good luck!

Friday 18th June:
We have had another great week in Cheetah class. It has been lovely seeing the children work on comic strips for our Norse mythology unit. They have also worked on recapping some learning and revising times tables, ready for our assessment week next week. On Monday we are looking forward to our athlete event. Don't forget to be gaining sponsors for taking part. A hug well done to Darcey for being our REACH certificate winner.

Friday 11th June:
It has been lovely to see everyone back in school this week and hear about everyone's half-terms. Today, it was excellent to see everyone dress up for Euro Day in lots of sports kits and colours representing the countries.

Cheetah Class have worked incredible hard this half-term, well done everyone. We sent cards to our partner class this week along with an 'All about me' page. We kindly receieved the same back too from Tiger Class. Have a lovely half-term and I look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday 8th June. Over the holiday, homework is a TT Rockstars battle girls v boys. Good luck!
Friday 21st May:
Another week has flown by with lots of learning taking place. Cheetah class have enjoyed practising their mixing and kneading with making salt dough creations. They have also produced fantastic persuasive advertisements for a "Viking voyage". I loved reading them all. A huge well done to Grace this week for being our REACH certificate winner. Don't forget that next week is a 4 day week, with Friday being an INSET day.

Friday 14th May:
Well done Cheetah Class for the class assembly this week! You did FANTASTICALLY filming all the different parts and being clear with your lines. We also watched a video from our partner class (Tiger class) this week, hearing what they have been learning about in Year 1. In our class we continued our history learning taking a look at Viking artefacts found in the Yorkivk dig. The class are enjoying our coding work on code.org too. A huge well done to Corlen this week for getting the REACH certificate for his science work.

Friday 7th May:
This week seems to have flown by after the bank holiday weekend. Cheetah class have worked on filming our class assembly this week, ready for viewing on Thursday 13th May! Also, we had our last cricket sessions with Derbyshire cricket, which all the class have really enjoyed. A huge well done to Oakley this week for being our REACH certificate winner.

Friday 30th April:
Thank you for everyone's time in talking to you about your child's progress this week during our parent's meeting phone call. In class, we have continued to enjoy PE taught by coaches for Cricket and Hockey. We have also began reading 'There's a Viking in my Bed' to support our narrative writing. A huge well done to Jasmine for being this week's REACH certificate winner.

Friday 23rd April:
It has been a busy first week back for Cheetah Class. It has been full steam ahead with our new units of learning including the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings for History. We have also taken part in Speed Stacking, which everyone loved. Thank you for everyone that completed their holiday homework and a HUGE well done. All creations are brightening up our corridor already!
