In Spring Term 2, we will continue with the Year 3 English and Maths curriculum objectives, but we will also be reviewing any gaps due to the previous term’s period of home learning.
In English, we will be focusing on narratives, recounts and finish with poetry. In Maths, we will be learning about measuring and comparing length, as well as learning about fractions.
In Geography, we will be looking at the countries in Europe and the 5 oceans surrounding the 7 continents. We will also be learning how to use keys on maps and to read grid references so we can apply these to our local area maps.
Science, will be focused on flowering plants and their requirements for growth and their life cycle.
In PSHE we will be learning more about what is bullying behaviour and strategies we can use to tackle unwanted behaviour that we witness or experience.
In RE we will continue to learn about Christianity and Hinduism, and about the symbolism and celebrations linked to both of these major religions.
We have also introduced Coding in ICT following the Code.org online programme and will be learning how to talk about our family and pets in Spanish.
In PE, we will be learning how to Street Dance and the skills involving in Tennis.
