Friday 14th January
We have now begun our Spring term in school and it great to see all the children back in Michael Morpurgo class. This term I would like to promote the enjoyment of reading and reading for pleasure in our class. As part of our new reading display in the classroom, it would be great to collect some Class Book selfies from the children. This could be a selfie or picture of your child with their favourite or current story book.
Alongside your picture your child could challenge themselves to write a couple of sentences explaining why they chose this certain story and what they enjoyed/enjoy about it. I am hoping this could promote the enjoyment of reading in our class and a chance for students to recommend books to their fellow classmates.
Pictures can either be sent through dojo message or emailed across to me, and once I have enough pictures I can begin the new display🤩
Thank you for your support!

Thank you to those who have already forwarded them across. I have rewarded your child a merit if they have challenged themselves to write the accompanying sentence about their book too. For our REACH nomination this week, this was Archie. A great big congratulations to you :) In terms of homework, please can your child read at least three times to an adult at home. 3 times will reward your child with a merit.
We have had lots of fun learning our assembly scripts in school this week. I have been pleased to see your hard work paying off.
Thanks again and have a lovely weekend!
