Class Blog

Each week, usually on a Friday, you will find an update about our weeks learning and adventures! Within this class blog I will summarise what we have been up to in our lessons, inform you of any WOW moments from the week and also remind you of any useful information, whether this be homework or dates. This information will also be posted on dojo so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via dojo or email.

Friday 22nd April 2022:

Hi all,

Wow - where has the half term gone? I hope you have all had a lovely, well-deserved restful break and managed to enjoy the snippets of sunshine we appear to be getting. Here's hoping the brighter, warmer weather is here to stay!

After a busy term and our official celebration week, you will notice we wanted the children to  have a break and recuperate fully and so no homework/spellings were set for this half term. Below I have provided a list of the spellings should you wish to get ahead with practicing for the next week.

Group 1: said, there, where, once, friend
Group 2: find, kind, mind, behind, child, children, wild
Group 3: scheme, chorus, chemist, echo, character, stomach, monarch, school, anchor, chaos.

Your child should know which spelling group they are, however if you are unsure please feel free to ask. As mentioned at parents evening, please also continue to familirise/learn the spellings from the Year 3/4 list as this provides them with greater confidence and independence in their writing and helps them secure their spelling targets!

A few reminders for the new term.

  • PE days are now Wednesday Morning (Tai-Chi - Indoor PE) and Friday Afternoon (Athletics - Outdoor PE).
  • This term sees a few INSET days - 2nd May (Bank Holiday) and 27th May.
  • Whole Class Photo Day - 6th May 2022.

Looking forward to seeing you all again for what feels like a short but busy Summer Term 1.

Miss Bestwick :)
