Weekly update:
This week is the final week of our home learning journey and what a rollercoaster is has been! Together, with the help of your grown ups, you have covered so many of your Year 1 skills to ensure that you are equipped with the basics and non-negotiables for Year 2. This week we have tried something different by making the activities a celebration of the year. The activities will focus on showcasing your talents by applying your knowledge and skills to different mysteries or activities but will also provide you with the opportunity to reflect on your time in Year 1 as well think forwards to your new adventure in Year 2.
A huge well done to Harrison for being my home learning hero! It has been so inspiring to see you still shine during a time you have found so difficult. Watching your shift in your work ethic and attitude has made us all smile and we are very very proud of you!
We couldn't sign off this update without saying the biggest THANK YOU to each and everyone of you; children and parents/grown ups! This hasn't been the easiest of times and we have all had to learn to adapt and try something new but you have always remained so positive, thankful but most of all supportive! This home learning journey wouldn't have been anywhere near as successful without your engagement with the tasks and your desire to keep going! As teachers we are incredibly grateful for this and we feel that all of your hard work and dedication will have paid off with the transition to Year 2. Although we feel our time with your child has been cut short, we are bursting with pride when we think about their work ethic, positive attitude and mindset, their resilience but most importantly the fact they encompass all of our REACH values. We are excited to handover your child to their new teacher in September because we know they will love having these children just as much as we have!
