This term Tulips are holding an 'extreme' reading competition.  This is when children take a photograph of themselves reading in unusual places.  The competition is optional but if children do want to participate, please could you chaperone them - the idea is to be extreme in an unusual way rather than dangerous!  Photos we've had in the past have been reading in the scoop of a JCB, reading whilst trampolining and even once we had someone reading whilst scuba-diving!  Let's hope it was laminated :)  The closing date is Friday 7th December and the best 3 will receive a prize - all children who enter will also get a merit.  Have fun and enjoy the pictures below...
Here's a sneaky peek at what we've been up to...
We have been busy bridge building!  Take a look at our amazing constructions...
On Friday 9th November we visited Trent College to meet the author Robin Stevens who writes the 'Murder Most Unladylike' series.  The children were fascinated to hear all about how she became a writer and even got the opportunity to buy some signed copies of her books!  If any parents are looking for some exciting texts for Christmas or birthdays, Tulips highly recommend these books.
