Half Term

This year our PE lessons will alternate weekly between Indoor and Outdoor PE which will be on Friday's. P.E bags will be sent home at the end of every half term.

*Please ensure that all items of clothing and footwear are labelled with your child’s/children’s full name.*

While the children are 4 years old they will receive milk for free. Once your child turns 5 years old they will no longer receive it. If you wish for your child to continue to have milk at school, please visit:

Each week Snowdrop class will have paired reading with a Mr Almeida's Year 4 class.

Every other Monday, Mrs Biddles will be teaching the children due to my planning, preparation and assessment time (PPA). This means that I will be out of the classroom all day.

Your child will be read with at least once a week with an adult and if required, their book will be changed. Please feel free to read with your child at home, ideally 3 times a week including practising key words (just make sure you make a note in your child’s reading diary, letting us know how much they have read and how they got on).

The children will be given their key words in list form. These can be found stapled into the weekly page of their reading diary. The children will be tested on these words every time they read with an adult. The child must show instant recognition, 3 times or more, for all words in their list before receiving a new list. Please feel free to tick words which are achieved at home.

We would love for individuals to come and join in with our busy but fun curriculum. If you can spare an hour, half a day or even a full day each week please contact Miss Standring. The more the merrier!
